Yoogyoung Joung's work explores the intersection between colour field abstraction and figurative portraiture. Her work explores themes of the quiet of moratorium, wound healing, loneliness, and memory. Joung previously worked as a womenswear designer, and after completing a year of study in the UK, she is currently active in Seoul.
